Easter Raffle 2019

This year the Parents Association ran a very successful Easter raffle as a school fundraiser. The school would like to thank everyone who sold tickets for the raffle and all the families who so generously provided spot prizes on the day. All the money raised will be used to subsidise the costs of school trips and activities.

We acknowledge participation in the NextGenerationEU Funded Project. This school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through Next Generation EU. This funding was used to update WIFI and to install WIFI boosters in each classroom. We also bought Chromebooks.

Microbit 2025: This year our senior room spent some time learning how to code using a Microbit. We had to work on a project of our choice to help solve a real life problem. We worked as a team and came with the idea of a MicroFIT. Our project helped people with their health and wellbeing, You press a button and the MicroFIT displays a random activity e.g. jumping jacks, mountain climbers. We then went to Edgeworthstown to a Microsoft DreamSpace competition where we won a prize. We had a fantastic time.
