The start of the new year was marred by the devastating news of the death of Cian Neary. Cian was a past pupil of Cloontagh school and we will always remember him for his impish smile and quick wit. He was extremely popular and liked by young and old. He was an accomplished student and great asset to our football team. Cian had a winning way with words and a flair for art. He had a great sense of humour and brought fun and laughter to all our lives. We are heartbroken at his passing.
Our deepest sympathies are with his parents, Evelyn and Enda and with his brother Shane, who is also a cherished past pupil of the school. The thoughts and prayers of the whole school community are with them in their grief.
Rest in Peace, Cian.
