On Friday 21st May, 1st – 6th classes did a litter picking walk from our school to Derryhaun. We were escorted by the Garda.
We found loads of rubbish such as monster cans, takeaway boxes, mineral bottles, cans and rubbish bags. We collected six bags of rubbish.
The same day 6th class pupils planted a tree each. We planted two willow trees and one common birch. 6th class pupils walked up to the 1916 Rising Memorial. The three girls were brought back to the school in the Garda car. They got to have the sirens on whilst in the car.
Afterwards we all got goody bags given to us by Pauline Marlowe and Lorna Duggan.
