Sixth class pupils – Christopher, Darragh, Fia, Fionn, & Gerard planted elder and oak trees. These will help  bring more oxygen into the atmosphere. We learned how important this is to reduce global warming and it is our small step towards climate action.    

The boys and girls had a great day on Monday doing our annual litter pick from the school down to Derryhaun Crossroads.  Thanks to An Garda Siochana for the Garda Escort.    

We prepared the ground and planted seed potatoes.  More planting to be done in the coming weeks.  Our sunflowers and salads are sprouting indoors. Watch these raised beds come to life!    

Yesterday we had a visit from two pet lambs named Poppet and Lucy.  We had great fun and got to feed them.

To celebrate St Brigid’s Day we made some St. Brigid’s crosses and had them blessed by Fr. Turlough.
